4/4/2024 Ragamuffin Hall

We had a great start to our tour tonight at Ragamuffin Hall. Conrad Fisher was a great host to us and we sang to a nice crowd. There was a good mix of elderly and young in the program -- special shoutout to those who made the drive from home to be here with us! Conrad took some time to share his story with us after the crowd went home and our pizza was eaten. We heard about his time growing up and wanting to be a musician, his time in Nashville writing/connecting with other producers and a little bit about the recording projects he works on now. He sang his newest song for us that he wrote 3 days ago.

Setting up and doing sound check.

Mr. Weaver & Conrad

A highlight of our program was performing a song Conrad wrote. He composed choir music for us to sing back up with him.

Plenty of pizza for all!

Conrad sharing/singing with us afterwards.

We had a relaxing start to our day -- something that felt needed after 3 programs in about 24 hours. We spent the morning relaxing at Naumburg Mennonite Church enjoying the outdoor weather and some games and activities. Around 11:30, we headed to Brookside Senior Living Community for a program at 1:00 and then a Solar Eclipse Party with them. After that was over, we came back to Naumburg for more recreation, a 6:00 pm supper and then off to our hosts for another night of sleep. We'll let pictures tell the story. Final Day! April 9, 2024

Yawn...we woke up early this morning, some of us at 4:30 am. We were to meet back at the church by 5:30 so we could load the bus and hit the road a little before 6 am. We experienced a few challenges this morning as we were gathering. There were a couple of personal items left behind at a host's house we had to ask them to bring us and then 3 of the guys were involved in a minor accident when their host missed a road and attempted a U-turn and ended up in the ditch. Thankfully, there were no injuries and we were able to have another host pick them up promptly. It did leave those 3 young men shaken up a bit though, coasting down into a ditch, not sure where/how they would stop.  We hit the road though, on schedule and arrived at The Mount Academy a little before 10. We did a quick set up in and incredible cathedral chapel. The school was previously a Catholic seminary and purchased by the Bruderhof in 2012 for the education of their high school students. Their 400-acre campus...
